Police seize drugs after search in Bedford, Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM), N.S.

Several people were arrested and face charges after police searched a residence in Bedford. Last evening, 9:30 p.m., RCMP Federal Serious and Organized Crime Unit, with the assistance of the Integrated HRP/RCMP Halifax Guns & Gang Unit and Halifax Regional Police ERT, executed a search warrant at residence in the 1300 block of the Bedford Highway.

Several people were arrested and face charges after police searched a residence in Bedford.

Last evening, 9:30 p.m., RCMP Federal Serious and Organized Crime Unit, with the assistance of the Integrated HRP/RCMP Halifax Guns & Gang Unit and Halifax Regional Police ERT, executed a search warrant at residence in the 1300 block of the Bedford Highway.

Seven people were arrested (6 males and 1 female) for drug trafficking under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act and for firearms offences. All six were transported to the Lower Sackville detachment.

Police seized cocaine, marijuana, and prescription pills, grow equipment, cash, and other drug related property. Concerning to the police was a loaded shot gun on the kitchen table and an illegal air pistol at the entrance that looked identical to a real 9mm handgun.

Charges are pending.
