Police trying to identify motorcycle driver who provided first-aid in Ahmad Maher Al Marrach murder

Investigators in the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division are asking for the public’s assistance identifying a witness in the homicide of Ahmad Maher Al Marrach.

On April 22, at approximately 5:05 p.m., police responded to a report of an injured person in the parking lot of a shopping centre at 7001 Mumford Road. Officers located a 16-year-old youth who was taken to hospital where he died as a result of his injuries. The Nova Scotia Medical Examiner Service ruled the manner of death to be a homicide.

On that day, a driver of a motorcycle was witness to some of the incident and provided aid to the victim. The driver of the cruiser motorcycle was wearing grey pants, a dark-coloured jacket with stripes on the sleeves and a black helmet.

Investigators have taken all steps but have not been able to identify the driver. Police are asking the individual or anyone with information on their identity to call police at 902-490-5020.
