Police vehicle involved in collision

At approximately 3:25 p.m. a member of Halifax Regional Police was responding to an emergency call, while en-route the officer was involved in a motor vehicle collision with another vehicle at the intersection of Quinpool Road and Robie Street, Halifax. The officer had their emergency lights and siren activated at the time.

The Police vehicle sustained significant damage to the passenger side and the other vehicle sustained significant damage as well. Both drivers were lone occupants of their vehicles and both were transported to hospital and treated and released with minor injuries.

The Halifax Regional Police Collision Investigation Section is assisting with the investigation. The investigation is ongoing and it is not known at this time whether charges will be laid.
