September 10, 2012, Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM)… HRM Partners in Policing would like to remind the public to use extra caution today due to the recent weather system.

HRM Partners in Policing would like to remind the motoring public to adjust their driving habits due to the slippery road conditions. There have been reports of localized flooding and water on our roadways.

In order to safely arrive at your destination, please slow down, allow extra time to reach your destination and allow extra stopping distance between your vehicle and the vehicle in front of you.   With this heavy rain, there is a lot of water on the road and police urge motorists to slow down.  Motorists should ensure that the car’s headlights are on for extra visibility.

Road safety is everyone’s responsibility.
