Portion of Birmingham Street to Become One-way Temporarily

Release:
(April 27, 2011) – Motorists in Halifax are advised that beginning
Monday, May 2nd the block of Birmingham Street between Spring Garden
Road and Queen Street will be converted to one-way traffic flow.

This will remain in place for approximately 16 months to safely accommodate
traffic while construction activity continues in the area due to
on-going new development projects.

Traffic will be permitted to travel in the southbound direction only.
Clear signage will be posted in the area and a map can be viewed online
at www.halifax.ca/designcon/cons/ConstructionHotSpots.html.
