Portion of Clyde Street converting to two-way traffic

The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents of the following changes that will go into effect on Clyde Street in support of the Spring Garden Road Streetscaping Project (Imagine Spring Garden Road):

  • Clyde Street, between Brenton Street and Dresden Row, will convert from a one-way street into a two-way street
  • The intersection of Brenton and Clyde streets will be converted into a four-way stop

Work is currently underway and is expected to be complete this afternoon. Motorists should expect delays in the area while work is underway.

These changes are being made to improve vehicle movement in the area and were recommended through public engagement, and were approved by Regional Council in 2019.
