Sunday, Oct. 16, 2016 (Halifax, NS) – The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents and motorists that permanent restoration work will begin tomorrow for the recent natural gas main installation on Portland Street, between King Street and Alderney Drive. Construction is expected to be complete in three business days.
No work will take place during traditional rush hours (7 a.m. to 9 a.m., and 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.), and there will be stop-and-go traffic during construction.
Pedestrians will be directed around the work site as needed. Motorists should expect delays and are asked to use alternative routes whenever possible.
Heritage Gas and the municipality apologize in advance for any inconvenience this work may cause.
