Possible COVID-19 exposure (Oct 15)

Nova Scotia Health Public Health is advising of potential exposure to COVID-19 on the following flight:

Air Canada flight 604 on October 15 from Toronto to Halifax. It departed Toronto at 8 am. Passengers in rows 21-27 seats D, E and F are more likely to have had close contact. Passengers in these seats are asked to continue to self-isolate as required, monitor for symptoms and call 811 for advice. 

It is anticipated that anyone exposed to the virus on these flights may develop symptoms up to, and including, October 29. Those present on these flights but not in the identified rows and seats should continue to self-isolate as required and self-monitor for signs and symptoms of COVID-19 until October 26.
COVID-19 symptoms include: 
Fever (i.e. chills/sweats) OR Cough (new or worsening) ORTwo or more of the following symptoms (new or worsening):

• Sore throat
• Runny nose/nasal congestion
• Headache
• Shortness of breath

If you were seated in the affected rows, please contact 811 for next steps.
If you were NOT in the affected rows, but on this flight and are experiencing any of the above COVID-19 symptoms:

• Call 811 for assessment. Please self-isolate until you receive 811 advice on next steps.
• Do not go directly to a COVID-19 assessment centre without being directed to do so by 811.

When Nova Scotia Health Public Health makes a public notification it is not in any way a reflection on the behavior or activities of those named in the notification. 
Currently, anyone travelling to Nova Scotia from outside of the Atlantic Provinces is required to self-isolate for 14 days after arriving. 
All Nova Scotians are advised to continue monitoring for COVID-19 symptoms and are urged to follow Public Health guidelines on how to access care. Up to date information about COVID-19 is available at novascotia.ca/coronavirus.
