POSTPONED DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER
Thursday, Dec. 15, 2016 (Halifax, NS) – Halifax Regional Fire & Emergency (HRFE) wishes to invite the media to tonight’s winter graduation of its newest volunteer recruits.
Twenty-four firefighter recruits have been hard at work training over the past three months, and are now ready to be rewarded with their black helmets.
This class consists of firefighters from all walks of life. During their regular days, these firefighters live and work in communities across the municipality. Tonight they will begin active service as front line volunteer firefighters from Middle Musquodoboit to Harrietsfield-Sambro.

When: Thursday, Dec. 15, 2016 (7 p.m. to 8 p.m.)
Where: Dartmouth East Community Centre – 50 Caledonia Road
The new firefighters have had to endure a battery of testing, training and other rigorous procedures with exacting standards in order to successfully join HRFE.
The in-field training began on August 29 and wraps up with tonight’s graduation.
