Potential COVID-19 exposure (Oct 24)

Nova Scotia Health Public Health is advising of potential exposure to COVID-19 on Air Canada flight AC 626 on October 24 from Toronto to Halifax. It departed Toronto at 9:30 p.m., landing in Halifax at 12:15 a.m. on October 25.
Passengers in rows 18 to 24 seats A, B, C are more likely to have had close contact. Passengers in these seats are asked to call 811 for advice and to continue to self-isolate. 
It is anticipated that anyone exposed to the virus on these flights may develop symptoms up to, and including, November 7.
Those present on this flight but not in the identified rows and seats should continue to self-isolate as required and self-monitor for signs and symptoms of COVID-19. 
Visit covid-self-assessment.novascotia.ca/ to do a self-assessment if in the past 48 hours you have had or you are currently experiencing:

  • fever or cough (new or worsening) 

OR

  • two or more of the following symptoms (new or worsening):
  • sore throat
  • runny nose 
  • headache
  • shortness of breath

You can also call 811 if you don’t have online access or if you have other symptoms that concern you. 
Please remember:

  • To self-isolate until you receive 811 advice on next steps.
  • Do not go directly to a COVID-19 assessment centre without being directed to do so by 811.

Currently, anyone travelling to Nova Scotia from outside of the Atlantic Provinces is expected to self-isolate for 14 days after arriving.
