PRCC Weekly – July 26th – July 30th

jessica_mPRCC Weekly – July 26th – 30th This week the PRCC day camps certainly made a splash on the centre as the theme this week was “Water Week”. Also, this week our specialty camp danced their way through the week with our amazing “Just Gotta Dance” day camp program.
– Jessica Morrissey

This week our Summertime Adventure Camp and My Pals and Me Camp took the plunge into a wet and wild week with activities including water balloon tosses, various games involving sponges filled with water and water themed crafts. The preschool campers enjoyed playing on an inflatable water slide that some parents were very generous to set up for a day for them and both camps enjoyed watching a water related movie on those days when it was just a little to wet outside.

Our specialty camp this week was our Just Gotta Dance camp. These campers enjoyed learning a structured dance routine designed by our dance instructor. They also had the opportunity to create their own routines in small groups. On Friday they had the chance to show off these routines to the their parents in a mini dance recital held at the end of class.

I had the pleasure of meeting with a group of seniors this week as well. All those seniors involved in the area’s Seniors Network were invited to join me for a meeting regarding senior programing at PRCC and we finished the day off by having a tour of the facility. There was a great response for the seniors as many attended and gave lots of input. I want to send out a great thanks to those who attended!

Finally just a reminder that we are still registering for day camps, preschool and specialty camps. Without your children participation we wouldn’t have been able to make these camps such a great success !
