RCMP release:

At approximately 4:30 p.m. on January 10, 2025, RCMP Halifax Regional Detachment responded to a report of a man on First Lake Drive in Lower Sackville who claimed to have a firearm. No firearm was observed. Multiple RCMP officers, including Police Dog Services, were dispatched to the area to investigate. Officers cleared the area and conducted searches.

The man was not located. Officers are maintaining a presence in the area as a precaution. The man is described as being in his 50s, having a white beard, and wearing a grey hoodie.
