Premier Congratulates Former N.B. Premier Alward on Consular Appointment

Premier Stephen McNeil congratulated former New Brunswick premier David Alward today, April 24, on his appointment as Canada’s consul general in Boston.

“I have the greatest respect for David Alward and I couldn’t think of a better choice for this important position,” said Premier McNeil.

“Our province and our region have had an important cultural and economic relationship with Boston for many years and I believe that relationship will strengthen with David in this position.”

The Boston consular office covers Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Vermont and Maine.
