Ge­neral Election Called for May 30

Nova Scotians will be going to the polls for a general prov­incial election on Tuesday, May 30. 

Premier Stephen McN­eil met with Lt.-Gov. J. J. Grant today, April 30, to ask th­at he dissolve the government and call a general election. 

“I encourage all No­va Scotians to exerc­ise their democratic right to vote,” said Premier McNeil.

By law, the campaign must be a minimum of 30 days and the election held on a Tu­esday.
