Prescription pills and cash seized , Liverpool, N.S.

The Shelburne County Street Crime Enforcement Unit (SCEU) and the RCMP Queens Detachment conducted a brief investigation which resulted in approximately 60 – 3mg hydropmorphone capsules being seized.

On Saturday afternoon, at approximately 3 p.m., police conducted a vehicle stop in the westbound lanes of Highway 103 and arrested two Shelburne residents. In addition to the prescription pills, police seized a small quantity of marijuana and a quantity of cash.

A 21-year-old woman and a 37-year-old man remain in police custody at the time of this release. They will be charged with Possession of Hydromorphone for the Purpose of Trafficking.

The investigation is continuing.
