Presentation of badges to K-9

Today, three of our Police Service Dogs were presented with a K-9 Unit badge, honouring and fully recognizing them as invaluable members of our police service.

“The dogs in the K-9 Unit play an important time-saving and investigative role in searching for people and evidence and are truly an integral part of our policing family,” said Chief Jean-Michel Blais.

“K-9 officers and their dogs have an incredible bond with a relationship based on immense trust.

Not only are they dedicated workers, but they are also greatly valued and cared for by their handlers and appreciated by all members of HRP.”

Thanks to each member of the K-9 Unit for their ongoing dedication and commitment to protecting and serving. A special thanks to the handlers for showing such care and pride for their dogs.

Congratulations to our beloved Police Service Dogs – Casey, Recon and Morgan.
