Proposal: 5900 Inglis St. (Canadian Martyr’s Church lot) #Halifax

Here is a new proposal from Ashcroft Homes Inc. and David Blakey Architect Inc. for two residential towers on Inglis Street where the Canadian Martyr’s Church is located on the edge of the Saint Mary’s Campus. The proposal calls for one 30 storey and another 24 storey tower that would be used for student housing. Halifax planning staff has rejected this proposal because it is outside the planning guidelines. The developer is now appealing that decision to the NSUARB and there will be a hearing next month.
