Last month we reported that it had been decided the craft crawl would be held at one location and we would be updating you with the information when it was confirmed.

Another meeting was held on July 6th and was attended by a much larger group of crafters and after a lengthy discussion, and a new vote, from the members present, we have now decided not to change the format this year. Sorry if this has caused any confusion but we are trying to find more interesting ways to involve our community in this project and to have everyone appreciate the uniqueness of the craft crawl.

If you have not attended the crawl in a number of years you may want to this year, as there have been a number of new locations with some very impressive artisans offering unique crafts and gifts. Why not shop local and purchase one of a kind gifts made by talented people in your own community.

Mark your calendars – October 17th 2009 from 10 am to 5pm
The important change here is the Crawl is one day only this year.

Our next meeting is scheduled for August 10th, 2009 at 7 pm at St. Timothy’s Church Hall in Hatchet Lake. Should you wish to join the group this year you must attend this meeting to register your site. Watch for future updates regarding information of a very special door prize.

Also, don’t forget that there will be a number of the crafters setting up tables at the Prospect Road Community Centre’s annual celebration being held August 15th at Brookside Junior High School. Hope to see you there!
