Prospect Road Irving station robbed

Police are investigating a robbery that occurred in Halifax early this morning.

At approximately 4:15 a.m. police received a report that a robbery had occurred at the Irving located at 599 Prospect Road. A man, with what appeared to be a firearm, entered the store, demanded money and cigarettes then fled on foot with a quantity of cash and cigarettes.

The employee was not physically injured.

The suspect is described as a white man in his 30s or 40s, approximately 5’7” tall, with a thin build. He was wearing a red and navy-blue winter jacket with a hood, black jogging pants, black baseball hat, white sneakers and a blue medical face mask at the time of the incident.

The investigation is ongoing, and police are asking anyone with information about the incident or video from the area to call 902-490-5020.
