Province Finds Success with New Pilot Program

Employers in Nova Scotia are seizing the opportunity to participate in the new Atlantic Immigration Pilot.

Launched at the beginning of March, the program helps employers in the Atlantic region fill their labour gaps with foreign workers and international graduates.

About 120 companies have submitted applications to participate in the program in Nova Scotia, the first step in the process. Twelve employers have been designated so far, with another 50 companies expected to be designated by the end of next week.

“This is a big opportunity for our province,” said Immigration Minister Lena Metlege Diab. “The Atlantic Immigration Pilot is another tool employers can use to fill their labour gaps as they work to grow their businesses and the provincial economy.”

To learn more employers should contact the Office of Immigration at 1-877-292-9597 or email immigration@novascotia.ca.
