Province Will Continue Expanded Nova Scotia Child Benefit

The province will ensure the Nova Scotia Child Benefit stays intact after the federal government announced its Canada Child Benefit.

“Our government expanded the Nova Scotia Child Benefit,” said Premier Stephen McNeil. “We know we need to invest in our families and our communities – we will continue to do so.”

Premier McNeil welcomed the Canada Child Benefit.

“Since coming to office, our government expanded the Nova Scotia Child Benefit so that 1,300 new children were covered by the program,” said Premier McNeil. “The Canada Child Benefit combined with our expanded provincial program will mean more support for children and families that need it the most.”
