Road Closure – Cogswell Street

Location: Cogswell Street from Brunswick Street to Barrington Street inbound ramp in the Cogswell District (see map #1)

Date: Effective Thursday, April 28, 2022 to December 31, 2023

Time: 24/7

Work details: This work is in preparation of installation of new underground services and a revised street configuration in support of the Cogswell District project.
Traffic impact: The south side of Cogswell Street between Brunswick Street and the Barrington Street inbound ramp will be closed for approximately 20 months. Motorists will maintain eastbound access via the north side of Cogswell Street which will be converted to two-way traffic. The north end exit of Albemarle Street at Cogswell Street will be closed during this period. Access to Albemarle Street, including the Scotia Square parkade, from Duke Street will remain in place.


The sidewalks on Cogswell Street will be closed to pedestrians during this time. Pedestrians will detour via Brunswick and Duke streets to Barrington Street (see map #2).
