Road Closure – Lady Hammond Road Bridge

Work details: This work is part of the Lady Hammond Road Bridge Rehabilitation. This project supports the 2021-25 Regional Council Strategic Priorities Plan<www.halifax.ca/sites/default/files/documents/city-hall/budget-finances/2021%20StrategicPrioritesPlan_Final.pdf> to establish a safe and accessible integrated mobility network.
Traffic impact: A marked detour and pedestrian access will be in place. Motorists should expect delays and are advised to use alternative routes. Note: Beginning Monday, April 11, only one lane of the bridge will remain operational until mid-summer. There will be temporary traffic control signals in place during this time. Motorists are required to treat these signals as they would at an intersection.
