Work details: Work will begin on the construction of a new roundabout at the intersection of Larry Uteck Boulevard, Brookline Drive and Broad Street. Initial work will involve site preparation and rock removal. This project supports the 2021-25 Regional Council Strategic Priorities Plan<www.halifax.ca/sites/default/files/documents/city-hall/budget-finances/2021%20StrategicPrioritesPlan_Final.pdf> to establish a safe and accessible integrated mobility network and will improve access to and from current and future developments in Bedford West.
Traffic impact: No major delays are anticipated for motorists or cyclists during the initial stages of construction; however, altered centerlines and short-term lane reduction may be required at times on Larry Uteck Boulevard to complete the initial work. Further announcements will be issued for traffic disruptions during future stages of work.
