Road Construction – St. Margarets Bay Road
Location: St. Margarets Bay Road, between civic addresses 1031 and 1075
Date: Monday, Oct. 31 to Saturday, Dec. 24
Time: 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Work details: This work is to facilitate the construction of an intersection for a new street.
Traffic impact: Two-way traffic will be maintained during peak hours, with potential periods of stop-and-go traffic outside of peak hours. Lane widths will be reduced, and a temporary protected multi-use pathway will be installed on the north side of St. Margarets Bay Road to facilitate this work.
Halifax Transit stop 6179 will be temporarily relocated to 1075 St. Margarets Bay Road. Rock breaking activities will take place on the north side of St. Margarets Bay Road as part of this work, as blasting operations are not permitted near overhead electrical and communication lines.
