(Wednesday, December 21, 2022) Halifax Water crews are on-site undertaking an emergency water main repair near 9 Sylvia Avenue. Water service will be temporarily shut down in this area. There is no current time estimate for service restoration. Traffic control personnel will be on-site to divert traffic flow on River Road. The only sidewalk on this street remains open. Customers in the area may experience discoloured water during/following this repair. It is recommended that those customers run the COLD water at one faucet until it is clear. Motorists should expect delays and use alternate routes. Motorists are also reminded that speed fines double in work zones.
