Public asked to assist in locating man wanted on 12 charges, including firearm violations

RCMP release:

Cumberland County District RCMP is seeking information on the whereabouts of a man currently wanted on a province-wide arrest warrant.

Christopher Charles Mattinson, 33, from Oxford, is wanted and facing the following charges:

  • Unsafe Storage of a Firearm
  • Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
  • Possession of a Firearm When Knowing Possession is Unauthorized
  • Possession of a Weapon for Dangerous Purpose (x2)
  • Possession of a Restricted Firearm/Prohibited Weapon with Ammo
  • Weapons Possession Contrary to Order and Fail to Surrender Authorization (x2)
  • Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle
  • Flight from Police
  • Fail to Comply with Probation Order (x2)
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000 (x2)

Mattinson is described as 6-foot-7, 190 lbs. He has dark brown hair and hazel eyes.

Police have made several attempts to locate Mattinson, and are requesting assistance from the public.
