Public Assistance Request to help locate William Cotton (Updated)

Update May 7: Mr Cotton has been located safe and sound.   Halifax, NS – The public is being asked for assistance in locating William Cotton, a 45-year-old male. He is a patient of the Abbie J Lane Hospital. Mr. Cotton left the hospital today without permission and he is considered of high risk to the public.

Halifax, NS – The public is being asked for assistance in locating William Cotton, a 45-year-old male. He is a patient of the Abbie J Lane Hospital. Mr. Cotton left the hospital today without permission and he is considered of high risk to the public.
 
Mr. Cotton is Caucasian and has brown eyes and short brown hair with balding on top.  He wears black glasses and has a brown beard. He is approximately 5’4” tall and weighs 130 pounds. When last seen he was wearing a black jacket and navy blue cargo pants.
 
The Halifax Regional Police are currently looking for this patient and staff are working with the police to locate him.  
 
The public is asked to contact their local law enforcement agency to report any information that may lead to locating Mr. William Cotton.
