Wednesday, Mar. 4, 2015 (Halifax, NS) – The Halifax Regional Municipality is inviting residents to have their say on the proposed University Avenue Protected Bike Lane by participating in an upcoming public engagement opportunity.
Residents can review detailed project information and provide feedback through the following two options:
Open House: Review display materials about the proposed protected bike lane project, talk to municipal and Dalhousie staff, and provide your feedback.
Wednesday, Mar. 11, 4-8 p.m.
LeMarchant Place, Dalhousie University, 1246 LeMarchant Street, Halifax
Shape Your City Online Engagement Portal: Project materials and opportunity for feedback are also available online starting today at www.shapeyourcityhalifax.ca/university-avenue-bike-lane. Participate in a discussion forum, read Frequently Asked Questions, and provide your feedback on the proposal no later than March 18.
Municipal staff will collect and compile all comments received throughout this engagement process, and incorporate the feedback into a recommendation report on the project set to come before Regional Council for a decision in April.
