Public information Session for Burnside Drive Extension

  (November 14, 2011) - Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM) will host a public information session to discuss the Burnside Drive Extension. Project staff will make a short presentation and be available to discuss the route and other Active Transportation initiatives in Burnside.

 

(November 14, 2011) – Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM) will host a public information session to discuss the Burnside Drive Extension. Project staff will make a short presentation and be available to discuss the route and other Active Transportation initiatives in Burnside.
As part of the Highway 107 Burnside to Bedford project, a new 5 km “Active Transportation Corridor” will be constructed between Akerley Boulevard and Rocky Lake Road. This will mean new opportunities for cycling, walking, in-line skating and wheeling.
 
When: Wednesday, November 16, 2011 from 7 – 8:30 p.m.
Where: Best Western Plus Dartmouth Hotel & Suites, 15 Spectacle Lake Dr., Dartmouth
 
This is a joint project of the Province of Nova Scotia and HRM and will be a key connection in the region’s active transportation network.
