A plane departed early Friday morning to meet with SPCA shelter staff in Goose Bay.  The return to Halifax landed later in the afternoon to an anxious crowd.

Dozens of furbabies were rescued for various reasons, some from risk of abandonment. Working with Litters ‘N Critters in Halifax, a call went out for temporary foster homes throughout Halifax.  As volunteers stepped forward, many pups and young dogs, including a new mom with her very new family, were saved from an uncertain fate.

Most of the new arrivals are a bit too young for adoption yet, and all will be vetted and cared for through their adoption process.

There are several  breeds available, but all are adorable and will be looking for new homes soon.  More photos below.
