Queen St. Switcharoo, Quinpool Coffee and Bagels

East Coast Bakery on Quinpool is now open, and serving up Montreal style bagels.

The Needs on Queen St closed, part of a master plan. The building will come down and the NSLC will be building a self-contained store in that spot. The NSLC in the Sobeys will close and Sobeys will renovate their front end. As weel Sobeys id building a Fast Fuel across the street and that will have a new Needs.

The former Second Cup on Quinpool is going to be Dilly DallyCoffee Cafe , I like the idea of a coffee shop there again and even better a local one. It will be licensed as well.

A new wood fired, pizza truck has opened The Rustic Crust is using base as DeWolfe Park in Bedford but look for them arround town this summer.

Down east Brewery/Tap and Grill has opened on Windmill where Brewdabakers was.

Saje in Halifax Shopping Centre is now open.

The sesquicentennial BS has begun, Home Hardware has announced that they will be carrying the “official” tulip of Canada’s 150th Birthday. I am not looking forward to all the Canada 150 official products.

A new Residential/Retail complex (Queen’s Marque) going where the little shacks are by the Halifax Ferry terminal.The shacks will be relocating south down the boardwalk by Waterfront Warehouse.So enjoy the shacks where they are this summer

The Original Wheaton’s in Berwick, is closed after a significant fire last weekend.
