Thursday, Aug. 27, 2015 (Halifax, NS) – The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents that the paving work planned for today on Queen Street and Artillery Place in Halifax has been postponed to tomorrow due to the weather; however, crews will continue with preparations on site today.
There will be lane drops in place and traffic control personnel on Queen Street between Spring Garden Road and Sackville Street, as well as Artillery Place from Queen Street to Dresden Row. Motorists should expect some delays in the area and are asked to use alternative routes, if possible. The sidewalks in the area will remain open during this work.
Tomorrow, both streets will close to traffic in the same areas starting at 7 a.m. The paving work is expected to take one day and the streets will reopen at about 7 p.m. that night. The municipality apologizes for any inconvenience this closure or the road work may cause.
