Queens County District RCMP investigate suspicious fire, Liverpool, N.S.

Queens County District RCMP is investigating an arson that occurred on Halloween night.

On October 31, 2015, between the hours of 7:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m., a suspect set fire to a green bin and dumpster at Dr.

John C. Wickwire Academy in Liverpool. The green bin was then placed inside a plastic tube slide on the playground, causing extensive damage to the equipment. The damage and fires were not discovered until the following morning.

The fires are considered suspicious and the estimated damage to the playground equipment is over $5,000. No one was injured as a result of the fires and the investigation is ongoing.

The suspect is male and was wearing a blue and white hooded jacket and black pants during the incident.

Liverpool RCMP are asking anyone who has any information concerning this incident to contact them at 902-354-5721.
