Quick Hits for Monday

Ally: L-A wasn’t kidding when she told you last week that things very hectic for us right now. We’re even too busy to give our unpaid guest bloggers reasonable notice to help us out with a post. We’re hopeful that things will slow down soon and we can waste more valuable time searching the Internet for news on Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez.

In the meantime, I’d like to share with you a couple of things that are making me happy on a Monday morning (speaking of Monday morning, I need this week to be better, last week included a flu shot, late nights of work that ended at 11pm, a fender bender and a broken dishwasher…I’m all Little House on the Prairie up in here).

So, happy thoughts to start your day off.

How Supermodels Read Books Good

Ever wonder what a supermodel looks like when pretending to read a book? Me neither, but we should have because it’s hilarious. This is from Miranda Kerr’s Twitter account with the caption,

One third in and loving JUST KIDS #pattismith #legend

Who edits these photos for supermodels? Don’t they have friends who will tell them, “um, that maybe makes you look really stupid. I’d photo-shop out the chandelier.”

Great hair though, put that in the snap cup.

The Realization that Taylor Swift might be a Real-Life Benjamin Button

My three-year old loves him some Taylor Swift. When we found the “100 % Taylor Swift” playlist on Galaxy over the weekend the heavens parted and I was able to sit and enjoy the newspaper and a full cup of tea without it getting cold. So absorbed was I in my reading that I almost didn’t notice Taylor Swift’s obvious regression. It might just be me (it’s probably just me), but let’s look at the video evidence, shall we:

Video: “Our Song”, Filmed when Taylor was approximately 18 years old

Taylor looks like an early Britney Spears there with the little tank tops, halter top dress and heavy makeup. She looks more like she’s heading to a dive bar (minus the scene in the prom dress) than knocking on her boyfriend’s window in rural Louisiana.

Video: “You Belong to Me”, Filmed when Taylor was approximately 20 years old

Taylor really misses high school.

Video: “We are Never Ever Ever Getting Back Together”, Filmed when Taylor was approximately 22 years old

Taylor isn’t just regressing to the early 2000′s here, she’s going all the way back to 1950.

I don’t really have a point with all of this. Sorry if you were expecting one.

Enjoy your Monday, we’ll be back later this week.
