Rainmen 3-Point Frenzy Gets Hundreds Free Big Macs

The Halifax Rainmen closed out their schedule Sunday with a season high 147 points, including 17 three-pointers, which won every fan in the Metro Centre a free Big Mac.  Click through for the replay.

It took the Rainmen the final game of the season, their 20th, to deliver the burgers, which need at least 10 three-pointers in a single game. Fans, for sure, had Jimmy Twyman to thank as the guard hit eight of 16 three-pointers alone, and led the team with 30 points.
The Rainmen delivered  in a big way Sunday, stomping on the last place Montreal Sasquat’ch for a second straight day, with a 147-109 victory.
The win was the end of an offensive explosion for the Rainmen this weekend, which saw them rack up 277 points in back-to-back games against the visiting Sasquat’ch. The Rainmen buried the Sasquat’ch the night before, 130-89 at the Metro Centre.
Team owner Andre Levingston thanked his players, team sponsors, Rainmen and Metro Centre staff, and especially the Halifax fans for their tremendous support. Levingston promised the Rainmen would be back next year with an even bigger and faster team.
While missing the playoffs, the Rainmen ended the season with a respectable 12-8 record.
