Raising Hope: Good Signs

Just a quick post about Tuesday’s episode of Raising Hope, which was the first installment since Jimmy and Sabrina finally got together.

When shows to a will-they-or-won’t-they storyline, the fear is often that the characters will lose their appeal once they’re finally in a relationship. I don’t think this has to happen, and I was delighted to get an episode of Raising Hope on Tuesday that was just as funny and charming as any of the ones the show did before Jimmy and Sabrina got together. In fact, I think this was one of Sabrina’s best episodes.

Jimmy discovered that Sabrina isn’t perfect – specifically, she sleeps with pantyhose on her head because of an intense fear of spiders laying eggs in her ears. Since that actually happened to her as a kid, I’d say it’s a pretty legitimate fear. Wyatt had convinced her to take medication for her fears and once she decided to go off them, Jimmy tried to help her overcome her fear by facing it instead. Kudos to Lucas Neff and Cloris Leachman for pulling off those scenes with the tarantulas!

So what did you guys think of Raising Hope? Agree that it was as funny as always, or do you wish Jimmy & Sabrina had never happened?
