Rawdon RCMP Detachment open for business, Upper Rawdon, N.S.

East Hants District RCMP is pleased to announce that the Rawdon RCMP Detachment, located at 3945 Highway 14, is open and fully operational.

RCMP officers will work out of the detachment seven days a week and detachment assistant, Mellissa Severeyns, will provide front-counter service to the public from 8 a.m.

to 4 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. On Thursday, she will work from the Mount Uniacke Community Office located at 555 Highway 1, Mount Uniacke. Officers will continue to work out of the Mount Uniacke office from time to time as well.

‘As your Provincial Police, the Nova Scotia RCMP is pleased to have a fully functioning and safe environment for our officers to work out of in Upper Rawdon,’ says Nova Scotia RCMP Commanding Officer, A/Comm Brian Brennan. ‘We want our citizens to have convenient access to the supports and services they need and opening this detachment will help us do that.’

Members of the public can drop in to complete motor vehicle collision reports, make any type of complaint, obtain a criminal records check and other administrative functions. For emergencies, please call 911.

‘The new RCMP detachment in Rawdon will provide the community with a vital link to safety and protection,’ says Warden Jim Smith. ‘We are pleased to have a rural RCMP detachment added to the East Hants District.’

East Hants District RCMP is comprised of the Rawdon Detachment, the Mount Uniacke Community Office and the Enfield Detachment (located at 136 Highway 2, Enfield).
