RCMP​ investigates single vehicle collision

RCMP are investigating a single motor vehicle collision that occurred this morning in Brentwood.

At approximately 3:05 a.m., RCMP, EHS and Brookfield Volunteer Fire Departments responded to the collision at the 1000 block on Hwy 2​ where they​ located​ a vehicle​ in the ditch along the highway. The driver had been ejected from the vehicle. The driver and lone occupant of the vehicle, a 31-year-old man from Brentwood, was transported to hospital via LifeFlight with life-threatening injuries.

An RCMP Collision Analyst​ is​ on scene where the highway remains closed. It is expected to remain closed until early afternoon. Traffic is being diverted to Exit 12 on Hwy 2 and Shortts Lake West Rd.

The investigation is ongoing.
