The Nova Scotia RCMP is advising motorists to use caution if driving throughout the province today.
Road conditions are poor in several areas due to snow, white outs, rain and freezing rain resulting in slippery roads and dangerous driving conditions.
RCMP have responded to multiple calls involving vehicles off the roads.
Motorists are reminded to plan ahead, adjust their speed and allow for extra time and stopping distance.
Before heading out, listen to local weather reports, call 511 or check the Nova Scotia Department of Infrastructure Renewal highway cameras at www.gov.ns.ca/tran/cameras for an update on conditions.
