RCMP arrest five people during drug search, Windsor, N.S.

RCMP arrested five individuals from Windsor following a search of a residence in that town. On Wednesday at approximately 4:45 p.m., RCMP members from Windsor Town, Windsor Rural and the Street Crime Enforcement Unit executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant at a residence on Gerrish Street.

On Wednesday at approximately 4:45 p.m., RCMP members from Windsor Town, Windsor Rural and the Street Crime Enforcement Unit executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant at a residence on Gerrish Street.

Once inside, RCMP seized a quantity of cocaine, marijuana, prescription medication, cash and a replica handgun. Three males and one female, ages 19 to 47 years old, and a 17-year-old male youth were arrested without incident.

They are each facing charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking and are set to appear in Windsor Court in January 2014. The investigation is continuing.
