RCMP arrest man after weapons complaint, Porter’s Lake, N.S.

Halifax RCMP arrested a 27-year-old man in relation to an altercation last evening between two men on Jemalea Lane in Porter's Lake. At approximately 9 p.m.

Halifax RCMP arrested a 27-year-old man in relation to an altercation last evening between two men on Jemalea Lane in Porter’s Lake.

At approximately 9 p.m.

, Halifax RCMP received a 911 call relating to a dispute between two men. Preliminary investigation determined that a 44-year-old male had been assaulted and threatened with a knife by a 27-year-old man. No one was hurt.

Nicholas Roland Rhyno was arrested a short time later and was held in custody. The Porter’s Lake man is facing a number of Criminal Code charges including one count of Uttering Threats, three counts of Assault with a Weapon and one count of Possession of Weapon Dangerous to Public Peace. He will be appearing in Dartmouth Provincial Court today. The investigation is continuing.
