RCMP arrest man and woman after Jeep stolen from driveway

Timberlea, Nova Scotia

The RCMP arrested two people after a Jeep was stolen from a driveway.  

 

Early this morning, just before 2 a.m., a man and woman heard noises outside of their home and when they looked outside their Jeep being was being driven away. The woman contacted police while the man ran outside to the couple’s other vehicle and chased after his Jeep. When the man caught up to the thieves he confronted them and was assaulted. The suspects ran into the nearby woods, but were quickly located by RCMP officers with the assistance of a K-9 team.

 

The RCMP has arrested a 23-year-old Herring Cove man and a 30-year-old Hubley woman for Assault Causing Bodily Harm and Theft of a Motor Vehicle. Both were held in custody and will be appearing in Haifax Provincial Court later today.

 

The investigation is ongoing.
