On August 28, following a week-long investigation, Annapolis District RCMP arrested a 49-year-old Deep Brook man and conducted a search of a home and property in Deep Brook.
Police seized seven rifles, seven shotguns, one restricted handgun, approximately 4,500 rounds of ammunition, and several prohibited devices. In addition, a large quantity of marijuana was seized.
The RCMP has charged 49-year-old Shawn Keith Harvey of Deep Brook with:
- Production of a Controlled Substance (x 2)
- Trafficking a Controlled Substance
- Possession of a Prohibited/ Restricted Weapon with Ammunition
- Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm (x 3)
Harvey appeared in court yesterday and was released on conditions. He is set to return to Digby Provincial Court on September 28, 2016. The investigation is ongoing.
