RCMP at scene of fatal crash, Askilton, N.S.

At approximately 1:30 p.m., Inverness District RCMP responded to a single vehicle crash in an area just off the Barbertown Rd. Preliminary investigation determined that the vehicle collided with a stationary large equipment trailer, lodging the car underneath.

The lone occupant, a male driver, was pronounced dead at the scene.

RCMP have contacted a collision analyst to assist with the investigation. As the area of the crash is a isolated private road off of Barbertown Rd. there are no disruptions to traffic expected. The investigation is continuing.
