East Hants RCMP is currently at the scene of a single vehicle fatal crash on Highway 102.
At approximately 11:30 a.m., East Hants RCMP, EHS, Elmsdale and Enfield Fire Departments responded to a single vehicle crash in the southbound lane.
Preliminary investigation determined that the driver of a southbound Pontiac car with three occupants in it lost control of his vehicle. The vehicle then rolled and landed back in the middle of the southbound lanes. The male driver of the vehicle and the female passenger were taken to the hospital with undetermined injuries. The female passenger seated in the back was pronounced deceased at the scene.
RCMP expects the roadway to be closed for an additional three hours. Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal is at the scene assisting RCMP with traffic control. The investigation is continuing.
