A short time later, the youth exited the residence and was arrested without further incident. Police seized replica firearms. The matter is still under investigation.
A 12-year-old male faces weapons charges under the Criminal Code. He will be appearing in court at a later date.
Police would like to remind the public that replica weapons can be dangerous and can be easily mistaken for real weapons. Police treat all handguns as real until proven otherwise. In this case, no one was seriously injured.
