Windsor Rural RCMP has charged the former Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) of West Hants Municipality with Fraud over $5000 and Breach of Public Trust.

In June 2014, the Municipality of West Hants contacted Windsor Rural RCMP after noticing irregularities in their financial records.

After an audit was conducted, the RCMP began an nine month investigation leading to the arrest of 55 year-old Cheryl Chislet of West Hants on April 7th, 2015.

Chislet has been released on a Promise to Appear and is scheduled to appear in Windsor Provincial Court on April 28th, 2015.
