RCMP charge Indian Brook man with several offences, Enfield, N.S.

Enfield RCMP, assisted by East Hants Street Crime Unit (SCEU) and Indian Brook RCMP, have arrested a 28-year-old man in relation to a series of break and enters into residences and theft of vehicles in the surrounding areas over the last month.

Drew Phillip Maloney was identified yesterday in Indian Brook by a SCEU member in the area as matching the description of a person wanted on a theft of vehicle which had just occurred. Maloney subsequently fled into the woods and the stolen car was recovered nearby. Maloney was apprehended without incident with the assistance of the RCMP police dog.

Maloney is at Shubenacadie Court today facing several charges including two counts of Theft Over $5000, two counts of Trespass at Night, two counts of Breach of Probation and two counts of Break and Enter with Intent. He has been remanded into custody until his next court appearance on Monday June 30th. These investigations are continuing.
