Kings District RCMP have arrested a Kentville man after a complex fraud investigation. The investigation determined that a man was using an online dating app to meet and defrauds victims, often using online banking.
On October 6, police arrested Tyler Janz Fairrae, 26, of Kentville. Fairrea has been charged with Fraud under $5000, Identity Fraud and Uttering a Forged Document. Fairrae was released on conditions and is scheduled to appear in Kentville Provincial Court on December 22.
Investigators feel there may be additional victims in the area.
